On the other hand, if we consider 12,960,000 = 360 × 36,000, it refers to 36,000 years with 360 days in a year, which corresponds to the so-called "magnus Platonicus annus" (also called the Platonic year or simply the great year). The "Plato's Great Year" is now generally understood to be the time it takes for the vernal equinox to go around the ecliptic due to precession (about 26,000 years), but in ancient times it referred to the time it took for the eight celestial bodies (the sun and seven planets) orbiting the Earth to return to their original positions, and 36,000 was sometimes called the "perfect number" and was considered a sacred cycle in which the universe was renewed.
