[1] [noun] To share one's will; to sympathize. ※Haiku, Chihakoku (1771) "The immortals' residence was filled with many followers of the Sho school, including Dongzhi'an and Shi'an." [2] A Chinese historical work. 200 volumes. One of the three major works. Written by Zheng Qiao of the Southern Song Dynasty. Completed during the Shaoxing period ( 1131-1162 ). A general history in the form of annals from the Three Emperors of Ancient Times to the Sui Dynasty. It consists of 18 volumes of imperial annals, two volumes of biographies of empresses, four volumes of chronologies, 52 volumes of abbreviations, and 124 volumes of biographies. The "abbreviated" section, which corresponds to the "ambiguity" of the official history, lists 20 abbreviations up to the Tang Dynasty. It is highly original, with sections on clans, capitals, utensils, clothing, etc., and there are notable discussions on geography, art, and literature. It is known as one of the Three Tongs, along with Du You's " Tongdian " of the Tang Dynasty and Ma Duanlin's "Wuhen Tongkao" of the Yuan Dynasty .

[1] 〘名〙 志を通わせること。共感を寄せること。※俳諧・遅八刻(1771)「仙府は冬至庵・是非庵をはじめ蕉門通志の連中も多し」[2] 中国の史書。二〇〇巻。三通の一つ。南宋の鄭樵(ていしょう)撰。紹興年間(一一三一‐六二)成立。上古の三皇から隋までの紀伝体の通史。帝紀一八巻・皇后列伝二巻・年譜四巻・略五二巻・列伝一二四巻からなる。正史の「志」に当たる「略」は唐代までの二〇略を記載。氏族・都邑・器服などの項目を立て独創性に富み、地理や芸文に注目すべき議論がある。唐の杜佑(とゆう)の「通典(つてん)」、元の馬端臨(ばたんりん)の「文献通考」とともに三通と称せられた。
