Akasaka Marble
〘Noun〙 Marble produced at Mt. Kanebu in Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture. It contains fossils of spindle insects, corals, algae, shellfish, etc. Depending on the color pattern, it is called red stripes, black, haze, bean spots, chintz, etc., and is used in architecture, decoration, and art. Akasaka stone.
