Zhang Liang

[1] A meritorious official in the early Han dynasty of China. His courtesy name was Zifang. He was at the center of Emperor Gaozu's strategies, and was one of the three great men of the Han dynasty along with Xiao He and Han Xin. It is well known that after he failed to assassinate the First Emperor of Qin, he was given Taigong Wang's book on military strategy by the old man Huang Shi on a bridge while on the run. [一] 中国、漢初の功臣。字(あざな)は子房。高祖の作戦の中枢となり、蕭何(しょうか)、韓信とともに漢創業の三傑といわれた。秦の始皇帝の暗殺に失敗して逃亡中、橋の上で黄石(こうせき)老人に太公望の兵法の書を授かったという話は著名。前一六八年没。[二] 謡曲。各流。四・五番目物。観世小次郎信光作。漢の高祖の軍師となった張良が黄石公の川に落とした沓(くつ)を取って、その人柄を認められ、ついに兵法の奥義を授かる。
