Changtai-guan Zhan-guo-mu Warring States Tombs
A Chu tomb near Changtai Pass in Xinyang County, Henan Province, China. Two tombs were excavated by the Henan Provincial Cultural Bureau in 1956. Tomb No. 1 was a pit tomb measuring 15m in length, 12m in width, and approximately 10m in depth. The coffin chamber was made of assembled square timber and divided into seven small chambers, including an anterior chamber, main chamber, and posterior chamber. The main chamber contained two inner coffins, as well as a vermilion-painted outer coffin and inner coffin. Funeral goods unearthed from the coffin chamber included a bell, chariot and horse equipment, bronze tools, flutes, drums, lacquerware, tomb animals, and wooden figurines. (→ Xinyang Ruins )

中国河南省信陽県長台関付近にある楚の墓。 1956年に河南省文化局によって2基の墓が発掘され,1号墓は長さ 15m,幅 12m,深さ約 10mの竪穴墓であった。槨室は角材を組んで造られ,前室,主室,後室など7個の小室に分けられ,主室内には2重の内槨と,さらに朱塗りの外棺,内棺が存在した。槨室からは編鐘,車馬具,青銅利器,瑟,鼓,漆器,鎮墓獣,木俑などの副葬品が出土した。 (→信陽遺跡 )
