1049-1133 (Eisho 4-Chosho 2) A Tendai Buddhist monk in the late Heian period. During the Qing dynasty, he studied esoteric and esoteric Buddhism under Ryuhan, and lived at Ekobo in Kitaya, Toto, Mount Hiei. In 1113 (Eikyu 1), he became a lecturer at the Peking Nikai, and in 1129 (Daiji 4), he was appointed as a provisional priest, but resigned the following year. He is the founder of the Ekobo school, a branch of the Danna school. His disciples included Choyo, who founded the Chikurinbo school, and Chikai of the Bishamondo school, and the school flourished greatly. [Nishiguchi Junko] Chogou [Chugou]A Tendai Buddhist monk from the Kamakura and Nanboku-cho periods. Son of Fujiwara no Kensei. He went by the name Hoen. He learned the Anato school from Jocho, author of the great medieval Tendai esoteric work Asabasho. He restored the ancient Kentoku-ji temple on the western outskirts of Kyoto, calling it Hobodai-in and using it as the base of his activities, so he was called Nishiyama Shonin and his school was called the Seizan school. He also lived at Kongorin-ji temple in Hasso-cho, Shiga Prefecture, and moved the initiation ceremony at Mount Hiei to promote it. He wrote many works on Taimitsu, including the Sojisho. His disciples included Eikei, Gochin, and Keichin, and one of his school's disciples was Kurodani Koshu, known as the author of Keiran Shuyo-shu. 1049‐1133(永承4‐長承2) 平安時代後期の天台宗の僧。清朝,隆範に顕密を学び,比叡山東塔北谷の恵光坊に住した。1113年(永久1)北京二会の講師となり,29年(大治4)権律師に任ぜられたが,翌年辞している。檀那流の分派恵光房流の祖。弟子に竹林房流を開いた長耀(ちようよう),毘沙門堂流の智海らが出て,門流は大いに発展した。【西口 順子】 ちょうごう【澄豪】鎌倉・南北朝時代の天台宗の僧。藤原顕成の子。法円と号した。中世天台密教の大著《阿娑縛(あさば)抄》を著した承澄に穴太(あのう)流を学んだ。京都西郊の古寺顕徳寺を再興して宝菩提院とし,活動の拠点としたので,西山(にしやま)上人と呼ばれ,その流を西山流と称する。滋賀県秦荘町にある金剛輪寺にも住んで,比叡山の灌頂を移して灌頂を興隆した。《総持抄》ほか台密の著作は多い。弟子に永慶,豪鎮,恵鎮らがあり,門流から《渓嵐拾葉(けいらんしゆうよう)集》の著者として知られる黒谷の光宗(こうしゆう)が出ている。 出典 株式会社平凡社世界大百科事典 第2版について 情報 |
