Poet. Maiden name Kuronuma, real name Kosaburo. Born in Yamagata City. While working in agriculture, he devoted himself to composing poetry, and in 1914 (Taisho 3), he joined the poetry magazine "Araragi" and studied under Saito Mokichi, who was from his hometown. In his poetry collections "Sanroku" (1929) and "Sudama" (1935), he wrote about the joys and sorrows of farmers in the Tohoku region. He also wrote essays such as "Village Life Record" (1935), and contributed to the development of local culture.
