A village in eastern Ibaraki Prefecture, east of Hitachinaka City. A good place for sea fishing, and the Ibaraki Prefectural Fisheries Experiment Station is also located here. On the cape of the same name, there is a lighthouse and Sakatsuraisozaki Shrine, and to the north is Ajigaura, a famous swimming beach.
