Jiang Shiquan (English: Jiang Shiquan)

A Chinese poet and playwright from the Qing Dynasty. His pen name was Xinyu and was also called Chusheng. His pen names were Qingrong and Zangyuan. He was from Yanshan, Jiangxi. He was a Jinshi in the 22nd year of the Qianlong era (1757). He became an editor at the Hanlin Academy. He later served as head of the Shaoxing Shuishan Academy, the Hangzhou Chongwen Academy, and the Anding Academy in Yangzhou, and was also a compiler for the National History Institute. He studied the poetry of Kobunji and the drama of Tang Xianzu. He is considered the leading playwright of the Qianlong period, and is known for the Nine Pieces of Zangyuan, including "A Piece of Stone" and "Four Strings and Autumn." [Iwaki Hideo]

中国，清代の詩文家，劇作家。字は心余，また苕生。号は清容，また蔵園。江西鉛山の人。乾隆22年(1757)の進士。翰林院編修となる。のち紹興の蕺山（しゆうざん）書院･杭州の崇文書院･揚州の安定書院の山長を歴任，国史館の纂修官となる。詩は古文辞，戯曲は湯顕祖の作風を学んだ。乾隆期の劇作家の第一に推され，〈一片石〉〈四絃秋〉など《蔵園九種曲》の作がある。【岩城秀夫】
