Japanese: タレカット（英語表記）tarekat

The Malay-Indonesian term for the Islamic mystical sect of Tariqa, also referring to its teachings. Sufism played a major role in the propagation of Islam in the Malay world, with Sufis (mystics) already active in Malacca at the end of the 15th century, but the organization of the sect was introduced by pilgrims to Mecca after the 17th century. There are nine sects of Tariqat in Malaysia, with Qadiri, Naqshbandi and Ahmadi dominant, but unlike the Naqshbandi of Sumatra, they are not politically active and are moderate and non-combatant.

イスラム神秘主義教団タリーカのマレー･インドネシア語で，その教えも指す。マレー世界へのイスラムの布教にスーフィズムが果たした役割は大きく，すでに15世紀末にはマラッカにスーフィー(神秘主義者)が活躍しているが，教団の組織は17世紀以後メッカ巡礼者によって導入された。マレーシアでは九つのタレカットが現存し，カーディリー，ナクシュバンディー，アフマディーが優勢であるが，スマトラのナクシュバンディーのように政治活動は行わず，穏健で非戦闘的である。
