Francisco (y Eixea) Tárrega

Japanese: タレガ - たれが(英語表記)Francisco (y Eixea) Tárrega
Francisco (y Eixea) Tárrega

Spanish guitarist and composer known as the "father of modern guitar music." Born in Villarreal and died in Barcelona. He showed an interest in the guitar from an early age and studied at the Madrid Conservatory. In 1880, he became world famous after giving concerts in London and Paris. In addition to performing and composing beautiful short pieces, he opened up new possibilities for the guitar through arranging 140 pieces (by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, etc.), while at the same time nurturing outstanding pupils such as Emilio Pujol (1886-1980), paving the way for the revival of the guitar in the 20th century. His representative works include "Reminiscences of the Alhambra" (1896) and "Capriccio arabiano."
