Darius II

Japanese: ダレイオス[2世](英語表記)Dareios II
Darius II
King of the Persian Empire. Reigned 423-404 BC. Son of Artaxerxes I. Xerxes II, who succeeded his father, was killed by his brother Sogdianos after 45 days, and Darius took the throne from Sogdianos six and a half months later. During his reign, his half-sister Queen Parysatis wielded power at court, and rebellions broke out in Syria, Lydia, and Media. Although all of these were suppressed, they showed the weakening of the centralized system.
