Basidiomycetes, order Matsutake, family Amanita. It grows scattered on the ground in forests in summer and autumn. Its cap is 7-15cm in diameter and its stem is 8-20cm long, and it is very similar to Amanita. When fully opened, it becomes flat, has a brim at the top of the stem, and a large, pouch-like pot at the base. It is gray-green or pale green-yellow, with white flesh and a white spore pattern. 担子菌類マツタケ目テングタケ科。夏秋の頃,林地の地上に散生する。傘の直径7~15cm,茎の長さ8~20cmで,テングタケによく似ている。開ききると平らになり,茎の上部に鍔 (つば) があり,基部に大型,袋状の壺をもっている。灰緑色または淡緑黄色で肉は白色,胞子紋も白い。猛毒がある。
