Tachibana [town] - Tachibana
An old town occupying the isthmus in the center of Oshima, Oshima District, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The main settlement is Agenosho on the south bank, an old fishing port. Mandarin orange cultivation is thriving on the mountain slopes. There is a Chinese pear tree (a natural monument). In October 2004, it merged with Hisaka Town, Oshima Town, and Towa Town in Oshima District to form Suo-Oshima Town. 28.84 km2 . 5,765 people (2003).

山口県大島郡，大島中部の地峡部を占める旧町。中心集落は南岸の安下庄(あげのしょう)で，古くからの漁港。山地斜面ではミカン栽培が盛ん。シナナシ（天然記念物）がある。2004年10月大島郡久賀町，大島町，東和町と合併し，周防大島町となる。28.84km2。5765人（2003）。
