It is located on a plateau at an altitude of 450m, on the southwest foot of Mt. Iwaki, in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. It is said to have been opened in 1680 by Nobumasa, the lord of the Tsugaru domain. There was a hot spring caretaker. It is an earth-containing acidic hydrogen sulfide spring. 50℃. It is popular with climbers of Mt. Iwaki, skiers, and people seeking hot spring treatments.
