Commentary - Takuhyo

Japanese: 啄評 - たくひょう

An administrative unit within the Silla Kingdom in the 6th and 7th centuries in Korea. It is also written as Takpyo (China) or Takpyo (Japan). The Silla section of the Liangshu states, "In Silla, the eupnak are called Takpyo when they are within the Kingdom and Yuroku when they are outside the Kingdom. They are equivalent to the Chinese counties and prefectures, and in Silla there are Rokutakupyo and 52 Eupreku." There are two theories: one that the Rokutakupyo corresponds to the Rokuchon and Rokubu of the Silla Kingdom (the area around the royal capital where the Gyeongju aristocrats were based), and the other that corresponds to the Rokujeong (counties with six military camps) of the Kingdom, as a consonant between Tak and Do (military force, military corps).

朝鮮の6～7世紀の新羅王畿内の行政単位。喙評(中国)，喙評(日本)とも書く。《梁書》新羅伝に〈新羅の邑落は，畿内にあるものを啄評，畿外にあるものを邑勒（ゆうろく）という。中国の郡県にあたるもので，新羅には六啄評と五二邑勒がある〉とある。この六啄評を新羅王畿(王都周辺の慶州貴族が基盤とする地域)の六村･六部に比定する説，啄と幢(軍隊，軍団)とを音通するものとして，王畿の六停(六つの軍営所在の県)に比定する説との両説がある。
