A large medieval castle located in Furuichi, Habikino City, Osaka Prefecture. Its construction date is clear and there are many documents remaining. The castle's name first appears in an article from 1493 in the Daijoin Temple and Shrine Records (Daijoin Temple and Shrine Records) of Kofuku-ji Temple in Nara, but there is an article about its construction by Hatakeyama Yoshinari in 1479. It is thought that construction began in 1477 when Yoshinari captured the castles of the eastern army in Kawachi and took control of Kawachi. After the Onin War ended, it became the political center of Kawachi, and was the guardian of Kawachi except for the period when Kawachi was divided into two guardians and the base of the northern half of the province was moved to Iimori Castle (present-day Daito City), and it was repeatedly besieged and burned down. It lost its function as a guardian after Miyoshi Nagayoshi made Imori Castle his base in 1560. It was destroyed by Oda Nobunaga in 1575. The main castle was located near the Takaya Tsukiyama Tomb (designated as the tomb of Emperor Ankan) near the intersection of the Higashi-Kouya Highway and Nishi-Kouya Highway, and only Ninomaru in the center, Sannomaru to the south, and parts of the earthworks and moat remain.
