This was a domain that ruled the area around Takatsuki in Settsu Province (Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture). As it was an important location halfway between Kyoto and Osaka, after the Summer Siege of Osaka in 1615 (Genwa 1), when Naito Nobumasa came from Nagahama in Omi Province (Shiga Prefecture) with 40,000 koku of rice, the domain saw frequent changes in fudai daimyo with stipends of 20,000 to 50,000 koku. In 1617, after Naito Nobumasa was transferred to the position of lord of Fushimi Castle, Toki Sadayoshi (20,000 koku), Matsudaira (Katahara) Ienobu (20,000 koku) were given the fief in 1619, Okabe Nobukatsu (more than 51,000 koku) in 1635 (Kan'ei 12), Matsudaira (Katahara) Yasunobu (36,000 koku) in 1640, and Nagai Naokiyo came to the fief from Nagaoka in Yamashiro Province (Kyoto Prefecture) with 36,000 koku in 1649 (Keian 2). The fief was held by 13 generations of Naotoki, Naotane, Naotatsu, Naohide, Naozane, Naoyuki, Naoyoshi, Naonobu, Naotomo, Naoteru, Naotsura, and Naomasa. Takatsuki Castle was built during the reign of Naito Nobumasa, but the castle town was developed during the reign of Nagai Naokiyo. The 10th head of the clan, Naoyo, established the domain school Seigado to encourage learning, and many graduates from the domain include Mori Kanjuku, Fujii Chikugai, and Takashina Shunho. After the domain was abolished in 1871 (Meiji 4), the area was incorporated into Osaka Prefecture via Takatsuki Prefecture.
