Born: January 15, 1899 in Nagoya [Died] February 6, 1990. Tokyo right-wing activist. After dropping out of Aichi Prefectural Third Junior High School, he turned to socialism and joined the Tokai Farmers' Union, but was charged with extortion for soliciting donations from the union and was found guilty. During his imprisonment, he broke with socialism and became a nationalist who advocated the Imperial Way. On February 11, 1922, he held the first National Foundation Festival, and in 1926, he established the "Kenkokukai" (National Assembly of Japan) with Uesugi Shinkichi, a professor at the University of Tokyo, as its chairman, and became its secretary-general. In 1933, he became chairman. In 1942, he was elected to the House of Representatives and became a member of the Imperial Rule Assistance Association, but was expelled from the association for criticizing a speech by Prime Minister Tojo. After World War II, he founded the Great Japan Patriotic Party in 1951, just after the ban on holding public office was lifted, and became its president. He consistently advocated anti-communism and anti-Soviet, and his street speeches at Sukiyabashi in Tokyo, which he continued for 30 years, became a famous attraction and became a model for street propaganda activities.
