Machine oil - Mashinyu (English spelling) machine oil

Machine oil - Mashinyu (English spelling) machine oil

A type of lubricant, also called machine oil. Conventional machine oils were generally standard-grade lubricants with a viscosity of 25-45 centistokes at 50°C, and were used to lubricate general machinery and axles. However, with the revision of the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) in 1980, the standards for additive-free standard-grade lubricants such as spindle oil, machine oil, dynamo oil, and cylinder oil were unified and came to be called machine oil (broad definition). Machine oils in the narrow sense are divided into 18 types according to the industrial lubricant viscosity classification. Some of these machine oils are used as lubricants for general light-load machinery, but the majority are additive-free mineral oils, used as raw materials for various lubricants, metal processing oils, insulating oils, etc.
