Date of birth and death unknown. Military commander during the Northern and Southern Court period. Nakatsukasa no Taifu (Minister of the Central Affairs Bureau) and Uma no Kami (Uma no Kami). He was the eldest son of Yoshifusa. He worked with Yoshifusa from the beginning of the Northern and Southern Court civil war, and eventually became close to Ashikaga Tadayoshi. In 1349 (Shohei 4, Sadawa 5), ​​he became the governor of Ise. During the Kanno Disturbance, he fought mainly against the Ashikaga Takauji faction in the Kinai region, and was appointed Hikitsuke Tounin by Tadayoshi. When Tadayoshi fled to the Hokuriku region, he raised an army in Ise, then surrendered to the Southern Court, and in cooperation with the Ashikaga Tadafuyu faction, he invaded Kyoto in 53 (Shohei 8, Bunwa 2) and 55 (Shohei 16, Koan 1), and was appointed Gyobukyo by the Southern Court. In 61 (Shohei 16, Koan 1), he entered Kyoto again with Kusunoki Masanori and Hosokawa Kiyouji, and was made the Kyoto Inspector, but he soon fell into ruin.

生没年未詳。南北朝時代の武将。中務大輔(なかつかさのたいふ)、右馬頭(うまのかみ)。義房(よしふさ)の嫡子。南北朝内乱当初から義房とともに活動し、やがて足利直義(あしかがただよし)に近づき1349年(正平4・貞和5)伊勢(いせ)守護となり、観応(かんのう)の擾乱(じょうらん)にはおもに畿内(きない)で足利尊氏(たかうじ)党と戦い、直義から引付頭人(ひきつけとうにん)にあげられた。直義が北陸に走ると伊勢に挙兵、さらに南朝に降(くだ)り、足利直冬(ただふゆ)党とも連携して53年(正平8・文和2)と55年には京都に侵入し、南朝から刑部卿(ぎょうぶきょう)に任ぜられる。61年(正平16・康安1)にも楠木正儀(くすのきまさのり)、細川清氏(きようじ)らと入京し、京都検断となったが、まもなく没落した。
