Sixgill shark

...A marine fish of the family Sixgillidae in the order Sixgill sharks (illustration). Its English name is Sixgill shark, derived from the number of gill slits. There are four species of Sixgill shark known in the waters off Japan: the Sixgill shark, the White-spotted Sixgill shark, the Japanese Brown shark, and the Siberian Siberian shark. The Sixgill shark has six pairs of gill slits, which distinguishes it from the other two, which have seven pairs.
