Dining table

Japanese: ダイニング・テーブル(英語表記)dining table
Dining table
A dining table can be square, rectangular, circular, or oval, with four, three, or one legs supporting the base. The oldest surviving examples are wooden tables used by Egyptian aristocrats during the New Kingdom, which were small, four-legged tables for one person. In ancient Greece, it was customary to eat meals reclining on a chaise longue, so there was a rectangular, three-legged dining table for one person called a trapeza, which was used in combination with a chaise longue (klinē).
