Dai Nam Quoc Su Dien Ca (Dai Nankokushi Enka)

Japanese: 大南国史演歌 - だいなんこくしえんか(英語表記)Dai Nam Quoc Su Dien Ca
Dai Nam Quoc Su Dien Ca (Dai Nankokushi Enka)
This is a poem in the Vietnamese national language, called the Six Eight Style, written in a mixture of Chu Nom and Chinese characters, which was popular from the Le Dynasty to the Nguyen Dynasty in Vietnam, and sings of the history of Vietnam. In 2,054 lines, it sings of the history of Vietnam from the ancient Hong Bang Dynasty to the Tay Son Dynasty at the end of the 18th century, based on the descriptions in the official history, Dai Viet Sici. It is a successor to the Tiannan Golú Wai Ji, the first long historical poem written in the national language at the end of the 17th century. In 1858, the 11th year of the reign of the Nguyen Dynasty, this book, which had been handed down under the title Records of the Grand Historian (Song of the Mandarin Language), was revised by Le Ngo Cat and others, who added new history from the Le dynasty and revised it into the 1,916-line Viet Nam History in Mandarin. Pham Xuan Qué then revised this into the 1,887-line long poem Viet Nam History in Mandarin. Pham Dinh Toai and Pham Dinh Thoc further revised and revised it into a 2,054-line poem, which was engraved in 1870.
