Japanese: 大栄[町] - だいえい

A former town in Tohaku District, central Tottori Prefecture. It is situated in the Yura River basin and the Hojo sand dunes. The main settlement, Yura, developed as a port town with a feudal domain's rice warehouses, and is on the Sanin Main Line. The town is mainly farmed using paddy fields and sand dune farmland. Rice, Chinese yam, tobacco, melons, 20th century pears, and watermelons are cultivated. In October 2005, it merged with Hojo Town, Tohaku District, to become Hokuei Town, Tohaku District. 36.23 ^km2 . 9,152 people (2003).

A former town in Katori County, northern Chiba Prefecture. A rural area on the Shimousa Plateau with wide fields. It borders Sawara City to the east and Narita City to the west. The Higashi-Kanto Expressway and National Route 51 run through it, connecting it to Narita City and Sawara City (now Katori City). In March 2006, it was incorporated into Shimousa Town, Katori County, and Narita City. ^{50.57 km2} . Population: 12,678 (2003).
