Sun Chuanfang

Japanese: 孫伝芳 - そんでんほう

1885-1935 Chinese soldier.
Born on March 1, 11th year of the Guangxu era. Belonged to the Zhili faction of the Beiyang warlords. In 1925, he proclaimed himself the commander-in-chief of the combined forces of Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangsu, Anhui, and Jiangxi provinces, and became a powerful leader in the Shanghai area. Later, he was defeated by the Northern Expeditionary Force along with Zhang Zuolin, and retired to Tianjin. Shot dead by the daughter of a former subordinate on November 13th, 1935. Age 51. Born in Shandong Province. Graduated from the Japanese Military Academy. His pen name was Xianyuan.

光緒11年3月1日生まれ。北洋軍閥の直隷派に属す。1925年浙江(せっこう),福建,江蘇(こうそ),安徽(あんき),江西の5省連合軍総司令を自称し,上海一帯の巨頭となる。のち張作霖(ちょう-さくりん)とともに北伐軍にやぶれ,天津に引退。旧部下の娘に1935年11月13日射殺された。51歳。山東省出身。日本の陸軍士官学校卒。字(あざな)は馨遠(けいえん)。
