Soga no Shukyo Goshozome - Soga no Shukyo Goshozome
Kabuki kyogen. Historical domestic drama. Six acts. Written by Kawatake Mokuami. Commonly known as Gosho no Gorozo. First performed at Edo Ichimuraza in February 1864 (Genji 1). The cast included Ichikawa Kodanji IV as Gorozo and Yuri, Onoe Kikujiro II as Satsuki, Seki Sanjuro III as Doemon, Ichimura Ie Tachibana IV (later Onoe Kikugoro 5) as Hototogisu, Nakamura Fukusuke II as Tomoe no Jō, and Bandō Mitsugoro VI as Oshu. While on duty in the capital, the feudal lord Asama Tomoe no Jō is hated by his concubine Yuri, and is poisoned with a poison that causes a nasty sore and then brutally murdered.

歌舞伎狂言。時代世話物。6幕。河竹黙阿弥作。通称《御所五郎蔵(ごしよのごろぞう)》。1864年(元治1)2月江戸市村座初演。配役は五郎蔵・百合の方を4世市川小団次,さつき(皐月)を2世尾上菊次郎,土右衛門を3世関三十郎,時鳥(ほととぎす)を4世市村家橘(のちの5世尾上菊五郎),巴之丞を2世中村福助,逢州を6世坂東三津五郎。奥州の大名浅間巴之丞が都在番中,愛妾時鳥は後室百合の方に憎まれ悪瘡(あくそう)を発する毒を盛られたうえ惨殺される。
