Born in the first year of the Eiroku era. Son of Soga Sukenori. After the fall of the Muromachi Shogunate, he served Oda Nobukatsu, and was later replaced by Toyotomi Hideyoshi on the recommendation of Hosokawa Yusai. In the fifth year of the Keicho era, he served Tokugawa Ieyasu, and passed on historical facts and calligraphy. He passed away on February 10th in the third year of the Kanei era.
