Zoro the Great

...A masked hero created by American cartoonist Johnston McCulley in 1919. Known in Japan as "Kaiketsu Zorro." His real identity is Don Diego de Vega. Set in California during the Spanish colonial period, he fights against oppressors and always leaves a Z mark with his sword when he disappears. In the movies, Douglas Fairbanks (1920), Tyrone Power (1940), Guy Williams (1960), and Alain Delon (1975) each played this righteous swordsman, and it was also made into a TV series. ...
