General Route - Sourosen

Japanese: 総路線 - そうろせん

Refers to the overall policy and tasks of China's socialist construction. The period from the May Fourth Movement of 1919 to 1949 was called the New Democratic Revolutionary Period. After a period of recovery of several years, the 15 years from 1953 to 1967 were defined as a transitional period from capitalism to socialism, and it was thought that after this period the country could enter socialism. The tasks during this period were socialist transformation and socialist industrialization. This was called the overall course of the transitional period. However, in 1956, socialist transformation was completed in one fell swoop. From 1958, the masses became more enthusiastic about construction, and the establishment of people's communes began.

中国の社会主義建設の総方針とその任務をいう。1919年の五･四運動から49年までは新民主主義革命期と呼ばれた。若干年の回復期をおいて，53年から67年までの15ヵ年を，資本主義から社会主義への過渡期と規定し，それを過ぎると社会主義へ入りうると考えられた。この間の任務は社会主義改造と社会主義工業化である。これを過渡期の総路線と呼んだ。しかし，1956年に社会主義改造が一気に完成された。58年から大衆の建設への積極性が高まり，人民公社化が始まった。
