A method of growing vegetables in which seedlings are raised in a greenhouse and then planted in the open for early harvest. Planting must occur when the temperature in each growing area has risen sufficiently for the crops to grow safely. Therefore, the sowing period is earlier than that by the period of seedling raising. A method of cultivating vegetables in which the temperature is kept constant throughout the entire growing period is called forcing cultivation, and is distinguished from early maturing cultivation.
