A British workshop that produced interior decoration. Founded in 1882 by Arthur Heygate Mackmurdo (1851-1942), S. Image, HP Horne and others, inspired by the ideas of Ruskin and W. Morris and the resulting St. George's Guild and Morris & Co., the company was a driving force behind the Arts and Crafts Movement, with the aim of producing products "made by artists, not merchants." As a coterie group, it was relatively conservative in opposition to Morris's socialist tendencies, and instead aimed naively at recreating the medieval production system. 1882年,マックマードArthur Heygate Mackmurdo(1851‐1942),S.
