A mountain range in the southeastern part of British Columbia, Canada. It runs approximately 320km from north to south, almost parallel to the west side of the main range of the Rocky Mountains. The highest peak is Mount Sir Sanford (3,533m). In the north are Glacier and Mount Revelstoke National Parks, and it is famous as a tourist destination because Trans-Canada Highway 1 and a railway cross here.
