The official name is "Judo Therapist". A person who treats fractures, dislocations, sprains, bruises, etc. by reduction, casts, splints, massage, compresses, and medicinal applications. It is equivalent to the folk remedy "bone setting". Since the Edo period, teachers of Judo (Jujutsu) have worked as therapists, so the name "Judo Therapist" came to be used. Previously, it was regulated by the "Law on Anma Massage Shiatsu Therapists, Acupuncturists, Moxibustion Therapists, Judo Therapists, etc.", but the part related to Judo Therapists was separated and organized as a separate law, and the "Judo Therapist Law" was promulgated in 1970. It is notable that a background in Judo is a condition for admission to training facilities. Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
