Stone pillars
〘Noun〙 A type of stone building. It consists of a hexagonal or octagonal pillar body, a niche, a roof , a jewel, etc. Many Chinese ones have a complex structure, but in Japan, it is common for the fire box of a stone lantern to be used as a niche for the Buddha, and there are even simpler ones.
