Japanese: 脊椎辷症 - せきついすべりしょう

A general term for symptoms in which a vertebra slips forward for various reasons. The most common causes are spondylolisthesis, in which the vertebral arch slips due to separation, and degenerative spondylolisthesis (non-spondylolisthesis), which is caused by age-related changes in the intervertebral disc and facet joints. In addition to these, congenital malformations and systemic diseases can also cause spondylolisthesis. Although it is often asymptomatic, if symptoms such as lower back pain, sciatica, or intermittent claudication appear, treatment for spondylolisthesis is required. Treatment includes wearing a corset, physical therapy, exercise therapy, and drug therapy.

椎骨が種々の原因により前方にすべる症状を総称する。原因のなかで多いのは，椎弓の分離があってすべる分離辷りと，椎間板や椎間関節の年齢的変化による変性性辷り(無分離辷り)である。これらのほかに先天性奇形や全身性疾患が原因のものもある。　無症状であることも多いが，腰痛，坐骨神経痛，あるいは間欠性跛行などの症状が出現すれば，脊椎辷症としての治療が必要となる。コルセット装着，理学療法，体操療法，あるいは薬物療法などが用いられる。
