Biopolymer - Solidago sativa

Polymers that make up living organisms. These include nucleic acids (DNA, RNA), proteins, polysaccharides, and complex lipids. Nucleic acids carry genetic information, proteins function as enzymes and components of living organisms, and polysaccharides function as intercellular material and energy storage sources. These biopolymers, with the exception of polysaccharides, have the properties of polyelectrolytes.

生体を構成している高分子．それには核酸(DNA，RNA)，タンパク質，多糖と複合脂質が含まれる．核酸は遺伝情報の担い手としての役割をもち，タンパク質は酵素や生体構成成分，多糖は細胞間物質，エネルギー貯蔵源としての機能をもっている．これらの生体高分子は，多糖を除いて高分子電解質の性質をもつ．
