Born on July 30th, 3rd year of the reign of King Sejo. Grandson of King Sejo. He encouraged learning based on Confucianism and had the "Gyeongguk Daejeon", "Dongguk Tonggam" and other books compiled. He also determined the number of ships allowed to travel from Japan per year. Died on December 24th, 25th year of the reign of King Seongjong. Age 38. Family name Lee. Given name Sa.
