Isobe Seven Villages

…In 1353 (Shohei 8, Bunwa 2), a dispute arose over the inheritance of the tribute Masanori, and in 1398 (Oei 5), a case occurred in which Shinto priests and villains from the islands stole the tribute's property and drove them out of Isobe. In the mid-15th century, Isobe developed into a group of villages with self-governing organizations, known as the "Isobe Seven Villages," and often resisted Ise Shrine, asking for tax reductions. In 1466 (Bunsho 1), the area came into conflict with the Kitabatake clan and requested support from the Naiku, but in the same year, the area became the property of the Toki clan, causing turmoil. …

…1353年(正平8∥文和2)供御人正憲の遺産をめぐって相論が生じているが，98年(応永5)には神人や島々の悪党が供御人の財物を奪取，彼らを磯部より追却する事件が起きている。15世紀中葉の磯部は〈磯部七郷〉といわれ〈老若〉＝自治組織を持つ郷村として発達し，しばしば伊勢神宮に年貢の減免を求め，抵抗している。1466年(文正1)には北畠氏と対立し，内宮の支援を請うているが，同年には土岐氏の所領となるなど，波乱が生じている。…
