Spitz - Spitz (English spelling)

Spitz - Spitz (English spelling)

It is an animal of the order Carnivora, family Canidae. It is a breed of domestic dog, and its official name is the Japanese Spitz. This breed belongs to the northern dog tribe, which includes the Samoyed and Finnish Spitz, but it is not clear which tribe it originated from. It is said that it was already in Japan at the end of the Taisho era, but the number of animals was small, and it was after World War II that it became popular and spread throughout the country. The pure white long-haired Spitz with erect ears and a curled tail is beautiful, small in size, sturdy and easy to handle, and it became very popular. However, because there was no breed standard and no planned breeding, many noisy ones were produced, and it is becoming less popular. Recently, standards have been established as a Japanese breed, and die-hard enthusiasts are working to create a better breed. It is now being shown in shows in the UK, and enthusiasts are becoming more and more popular worldwide. The name "Spitz" comes from the German word for "pointed" and is derived from the sharp ears and muzzle. They are 36-40cm tall and weigh 6.3-9kg.
