A general term for minerals that contain strontium. Representative minerals include celestite and strontianite, both of which are the source minerals of strontium. Both are characterized by their high specific gravity (3.6 to 4.0). The theoretical chemical composition of each mineral is celestite 56.4% SrO, 43.6% SO 3 , and strontianite 70.1% SrO, 29.9% CO 2 , but in many cases Ba, Ca, Mg, etc. are dissolved in Sr. Small amounts of SiO 2 (derived from quartz) are also found as mixtures. また混合物として少量のSiO2(石英に起因する)などがみられる。
