[Family types]
A married couple and their unindependent children are the unit of a kinship group, but beyond that, the extent to which relatives are included in the family can be broadly categorized into the following three types depending on the form of family formation shared by members of society. (1) Conjugal family A family centered on a married couple formed by marriage, which does not live with married children and which disappears with the death of one or both members of the couple, and which lasts only for the couple's generation. However, after one person dies, the surviving person may join the child's family.
