A book that records the history of the Malacca Sultanate in Southeast Asia. The title of the book, "Sujara Melayu," means "The Lineage of Malay Kings," and was originally called "The Lineage of the Sultans," and was completed in its present form in 1612 by Bundahara of the Johor Sultanate. It is the most important work among the Malay classics. It begins with the origins of the Malacca Sultanate's royal lineage, which dates back to Alexander the Great, and covers the history of Malacca's founding, its golden age, and the collapse of the kingdom in 1511 due to an attack by Portugal. It is interspersed with numerous episodes centered on the Sultan's court, and legend and history unfold in a magnificent manner.

東南アジア，マラッカ王国の歴史を記した書。《スジャラ･ムラユ》の書名は〈マレーの王の系譜〉の意味で，古くは《スルタンの系譜》とよばれ，1612年にジョホール王国のブンダハラによって現在のような形に完成された。マレーの古典の中で最も重要な作品。内容は，アレクサンドロス大王にまでさかのぼるマラッカ王国の王統の起源から説き起こし，マラッカの建国，その黄金時代を経て1511年のポルトガルの攻撃による王国の崩壊までの歴史で，スルタンの宮廷を中心に数多くのエピソードをちりばめ，伝説と歴史が渾然一体となり華麗に展開する。
