Born: December 10, 1805 in Bohemia
[Died] June 13, 1881. Vienna Czechoslovakian physician. Along with K. Rokitansky, he was a representative of the Second Viennese School. He studied at the University of Vienna and opened a practice in 1833. He was a professor at the same university from 1846 to 1871. He is known as the founder of percussion and auscultation. In percussion, he left behind names such as Skoda hollow sound for bronchial sounds in cases of pneumonia, Skoda bubbly sound for the presence of vesicular exudate, and hollow sound. He also criticized the medical treatment methods started by L. Auenburger and R. Laennec, and reformed them.
