Japanese: 酸ヶ湯[温泉] - すかゆ

This hot spring is a national health resort located at the western foot of Mt. Hakkoda in the southeastern part of Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture. In the Edo period, it was called Sugayu, and many people came to take care of the hot springs. It contains gypsum and has an acidic hydrogen sulfide spring. It is 50-60℃. It is said to be effective for skin diseases, and many people come to take care of the hot springs. There is an alpine botanical garden at the Hakkoda Botanical Experiment Station attached to Tohoku University. It is a base for mountain climbing and spring skiing in Towada-Hachimantai National Park, and is accessible by bus from Aomori city.

青森県青森市の南東部，八甲田大岳の西麓にある国民保養温泉。江戸時代には酢ヶ湯とみえ，湯治客も多かった。含石膏酸性硫化水素泉など。50〜60℃。皮膚病などに効能があるとされ湯治客が多い。東北大学付属八甲田山植物実験所の高山植物園がある。十和田八幡平国立公園に属する登山・春スキー基地で，青森市街からバスが通じる。
