Arnulf von Metz

Japanese: アルヌルフ[メッツの](英語表記)Arnulf von Metz
Arnulf von Metz
He was the teacher of Dagobert I from around 580 to around 640. Although a layman, he became the Bishop of Metz (present-day Metz), then a hermit, and was later canonized. His Latin name was Arnulfus, and his French name was Arnoul. The marriage of his son Ansegisel (French name Ansegisel) to Begga, daughter of Pepin I, Mayor of Austrasia, led to the prosperity of the House of Pepin, later the House of Carolingians, and he is considered one of the founders of the latter.
