Annapurna [Mountain] - Annapurna
A mountain range that runs about 50km east to west through the Himalayas in central Nepal. Its name means "Goddess of Fertility" in Sanskrit. The first peak in the west (8091m) was first climbed by the French Herzog team in June 1950. The second peak in the east (7937m) was first climbed by a British team in 1960.
