Plexus - Nerve Plexus

The peripheral nerves of vertebrates are connected to each other by branching or anastomosis near their bases. Nerve fibers run independently of each other, so there is no communication between them. The spinal nerves form the cervical, brachial, lumbar, and sacral plexuses near their bases. 脊椎動物の末梢神経がその基部付近または末梢部で分岐したり吻合(ふんごう)したりしてつくる網状構造。神経繊維は互いに独立して走っているので，その間に連絡はない。脊髄神経は基部近くで，頸(けい)神経叢，腕神経叢，腰神経叢，仙骨神経叢などをつくる。自律神経は諸種の器官の外周または壁内に発達した神経叢をつくり，その中に神経細胞を含む。
