A 21-year-old female patient treated by the Viennese physician Josef Breuer (1842-1925) between 1880 and 1882. Her real name was Bertha Pappenheim. Her name is unforgettable as a classic hysterical patient who was involved in the founding of S. Freud's psychoanalytic therapy. While caring for her father, she began to show a variety of symptoms, including quadriplegia and visual impairment. At the same time, she alternated between adult and childish states of consciousness, often falling into a state of self-hypnosis between these states.
