D/P - documents against payment

This is called "delivery for payment". It is a term that is paired with D/A and means handing over the shipping documents in exchange for payment of the bill amount. The method of delivery (D/P or D/A) is usually specified on the document bill or bill of delivery, but if there is no specification, banks generally treat it as D/P. 支払渡しという。D／Aと一対になる言葉で，手形金額の支払いと引替えに船積み書類を渡すことを意味する。D/P，D/Aどちらの方法によるかは，荷為替手形または手形送達状に明記されているのが普通であるが，記載のない場合には，一般に銀行はD/Pとして扱う。
